To be the change, we must understand the history of Asian racism in order to fully comprehend the current experiences and struggles of Asian communities. By understanding the historical context of discrimination and prejudice against Asian Americans, we can better understand and address the ongoing issues of racism and discrimination that continue to affect Asian Americans today. Additionally, understanding the history of Asian racism allows us to acknowledge and address the ways in which our society has perpetuated these harmful stereotypes and biases, and work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all. Ignoring or dismissing the history of Asian racism only perpetuates the systems of oppression and discrimination that have been inflicted upon Asian communities for centuries.
